Awful customer service and deceitful company. I can't wait until our contract expires or we get to a point where we can be bought out by a competing cable company without it costing us too much.
Once you're bound by a contract with direct tv they can care less about their customer satisfaction. I've had nothing but problems using the remote app, which is a main reason why I purchase cable tv. Can't upgrade without paying a substantial amount more opposed to the sign-up cost.
They have no problems lying about what their charges are because you'll just talk to another rep that states something entirely different and receive a bill reflecting a higher amount than quoted. Get some dignity direct tv.
