I have been a Directv customer since VOOM went away - some five years, own my own HD capable box. They have changed the channel coding for HD to mpeg4 which my box does not understand - thus no HD capability anymore.

I cannot remove the $10.00 monthly charge, neither can their customer service people - so I am charged for a service I cannot use. My only option was to disconnect the service in order to remove the charge. They will not refund the overcharge as I did not complain until now - yet they are well aware that the problem is of their making.

The only offers they made was to provide alternate equipment which i must lease and give a two year commitment for - why on earth would I do that when they treat their customers so unethically. Disgusted.
