That is the entrapment issue with D. If you call them for anything, make even one change, your contract statrts over again from day 1.

They're after one thing, your life.

Forever. They will hog tie you and never left you free.

Directv Receiver Replacement Review

Replaced a bad box with a new box that is the same model as the old one. Automatically put me into a 2 year contract extension because it's considered an upgrade I guess if the box actually works. Called customer service and they said to get out of the contract I had to pay for the 24 months as an early termination. This company is such a scam they rip off people.

"I was offered a promo of a premium channel for 3 months but since I was in between billing cycles, there would be a prorated charge. Wow, are you kidding me after all this and now they try to upsell me.

Unbelievable!This is not how the old DirectTV did handled things."

DirecTV has had the same billing systems since ATT Acquired them in 2015..

A prorated charge is normal *middle of the billing cycle* and after 90days if you call to cancel it, you would see guess what!, A PRORATED CREDIT!

Sorry to hear that you didn't receive prorated amounts before and were charged full price for something middle of a bill cycle.

Not to be a smart *** but really.

If you are in middle of the billing cycle almost ALL will have prorated charges and prorated credits.. Yay logic!

Directv has the worst customer service

My 80 year old mother had to replace her receiver that was damaged by lightening. They sent a replacement receiver and then added a $24.00 monthly charge. After being on the phone with them for 1 hour and speaking to two people who had little to no understanding. We had to threaten to discontinue services altogether before we could get the charge credited. They even admitted they "mistakenly" added the charge. At one point they said they needed a power of attorney to fix their mistake. They would repeat the same script over and over. Their customer service sucks! They are definitely worse after joining AT&T.
