We signed up for Directv because of the low price we were offered. They said even when the promo prices expired we would still be saving money over the cable company, which was a complete lie.

After calling and trying to find a better deal, we ended up deciding to cancel our service. The guy we talked to when setting up the cancellation suddenly said he could offer us all these special deals for us to stay, stuff that multiple people before had never offered, but we decided to cancel anyway. We had ordered a PPV over a year before cancelling, and as far as we knew we paid for it. No one said anything about us being behind on our bill, and we had autopay set up.

Suddenly, though, when we decided to cancel, they were coming after us for the cost of this PPV, claiming we had never paid for it.

Rather than wasting time researching this PPV payment, we decided to pay the bill to be done with Directv. I wonder, though, if they would have ever billed us for the PPV if we didn't cancel.
