Ready to be taken for a ride, rawdog style? DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING ADVERTISED BY DIRECTV, UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR UNPROTECTED ANAL PENETRATION!!!

Believe these words to be the gospel truth - you will not get what you ask for, you will be lied to, cheated, and robbed from the beginning until the end!!! You will be constantly upsold, and you will never get what you ask for. One price is advertised, while another, ENTIRELY different price point is what you will actually get. I cannot stress this point enough!!!

The goal of the commission-based sales staff is to horns waggle you into a false sense of security. Then, after you have already committed, the price per month mysteriously increases, by 30% or more!!! Talk about a bait-and-switch! I talked to five different sales reps, none of whom would give me what I asked for.

THEY ARE FLAT OUT LIARS, AND ARE TRAINED TO BE THAT WAY!!! The specific details are unimportant, and far too lengthy to deal with. My carefully chosen advice is this - BUYER BEWARE!!! If you are ignorant enough to "join the club", then you deserve what you get.

Just know this - the price advertised to me was approximately $30 per month (mean cost) for two years, while the final quote worked out to be more like $45 per. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU! If these were Medieval times, and I were King, you would all be drawn and quartered. DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU READ OR HEAR ABOUT THIS COMPANY!!!

And, for Pete's sake, if you must sign up for service, make sure you talk to a supervisor, not a sales rep.

It may be the only way to get the straight ***. If you are in this unfortunate situation, may God have mercy on your soul!

Product or Service Mentioned: Directv Deal.

Monetary Loss: $360.

No need to get nasty .. directv does not disclose things very well and sales folks DO LIE ..

but its there in the contract..

They dont disclose the fact that prices go up after a year and that stations can change and you the prices goes to the then current price. But almnost all sales people lie at all companies especially when they get paid commission on sales.

Let me be very clear FatDaddy in saying that you have to be highly ***. You are informed exactly of what services you order in no less than 8 to 10 ways, be it from direct sales going over your order, to sales support that CONFIRMS your order and 3 or 4 letters to you describing your order in writing AND multiple emails describing exactly what your order an services are going to cost. Since you cannot read, find someone to do it for you.

Also I love how classy an respectful you are since you are now obsessed with posting on every thread on this site when you post on other peoples complaints yet you start your own post with:

"Ready to be taken for a ride, rawdog style?DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING ADVERTISED BY DIRECTV, UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR UNPROTECTED ANAL PENETRATION!!!"

What a classy classy guy you are FatDaddy. Your daughter teach you those words? Well done sir, an have someone look up 'hypocrite' means in the dictionary.

We all know that any advertised rate does not include any equipment charges, extra channels, taxes etc...however, it is a whole other story if you signed up for service and were given the base rate without clarifying the extras, especially when you get stuck in a 2 year contract. I have no beef with DirecTV, but this is why I stick to cable because human beings make mistakes, lie etc and I refuse to be in a contract if something goes wrong that I'm unhappy with.

Listen retard and listen closely. The advertised price is ONE receiver with a base package of choice.

THAT is the advertised price minus your new customer discount. Anything you add to that: ie additional receivers, premium channels like HBO, high definition and/or dvr service, etc, is going to raise your bill from that advertised price.

Do the world a favor and kill yourself please.

That was a very articulate response. You sound like you are about 10 years old, which makes sense, because it's obvious that you are a DirecTV employee.

Don't have the balls to reveal your identity, huh? It takes a real big man to insult someone from behind a closed door. I must have really hit the bullseye to get you so agitated. You are a sad excuse for a man.

My question to you is, do you take the time to respond to all the complaints about your employer? You must be a busy boy. I'm sure you're aware that your company has more customer service complaints than any other in the country. If it were up to you, there would be an unprecedented wave of suicides in the U.S.

Good thing that your advice is as worthless to me as your body of work.

By the way, weren't you aware that "retard" is no longer PC? Mentally challenged, if you please.

I'll just bet a lot of unhappy customers can relate to this.
