They make the TV not work suddenly and tell you that you need an HD BOX even if you don't have an HD TV. I refuse but they say I must and they will not charge me a thing. It is FREE, they swear! SO OK, Tekkie visits, gives me new box, new SATELLITE THINGIE on the roof....

Yeah you won’t be billed for hi DEF channels you know how to pay for equipment etc. lion SOBs. Plus they took two of my boxes they only left me one and they’re trying to bill me for two.

I cancel their service because the price went up after initial hook up and then they build me one in months in advance when I cancel the service and and $80 early cancellation fee I will look for somebody else before I would take on this service they do not offer any special deals unless you are going to cancel the contract and extend it for another year excessive charges

So I am the one who posted this complaint but I can't seem to log in to my account here but I want to post an update. I filed a complaint with the BBB and FCC before posting this one here.

Today, 12-9-2019, I received a phone call while I was at work from Deanna in the presidents office at AT&t. In her message she asked me to call back so that we can come to a solution that I would be happy with and accept.

I tried to call back when I got off work but she was not in the office so I left her a message to return my call. I will post an update again when I see what type of "solution" she offers me!

Called to see about getting bill lowered. Luke asked what channels I watched and I told him.He said sure after a few minutes he came back and yes he could put me in family package for $55 a month.I quoted the channels (only 6 of them is all we watch) he said yes.Well today I only have 2 channels that I was promised.Well I called back today and Michelle said I had to go back to select plan.I'm disabled now with no income and never missed a payment for 20t years. Is this the way I should be treated ? Very upset over this and also a customer with At&;;;;;;;t. I guess i will be leaving and go to Spectrum.Cathy McCullough

We have had the same problem. Packed up the equipment in the box provided. Did not hear anything from them about the equipment until 4 months later. We cannot find our receipt. This is a scam for many people. Many forums on Directv and this. Stay away from this company.

We travel a lot in an RV. We also purchased a small mobile home on a golf course for winter. DirecTV customer over 10 years. Have the receiver which we also use in RV and just want to have service in mobile as well. We pay every month right? DirecTV wants you to open a completely new account. Forget that! We are already paying regardless of where we are. We already have a Directv dish on the roof too. For some reason it won't communicate with receiver. DirecTV won't service and said Wineguard will service. That is a lie. CSR even gave me their number! Wineguard tech said he gets this all the time. Worst customer service ever! Used to be good before ATT took over.

I signed up for DirecTV about 15 months ago and was promised $40 a month off my bill for the first 12 months. Never happened. Called couple months into this and talked to someone in Pakistan or India for an hour and a half and they finally agreed they did promise that and would fix it. That was over a year ago. Still waiting. And not to mention I lost FOX for several months with no bill reduction and currently have no NBC. Bill is still the same. Have had DirecTV for over 20 years and never a problem until AT&T bought them.

I used to have a very similar experience from our previous job as customer service, one of the things I realized is that a lot of the time I worked for the company I worked for didn't feel comfortable working on the business side at all in my spare time. The way I worked for the company and the people I worked for, I ended up helping the support people understand the problems they were working on. I am now quite excited to see how the company works out and how it affects the people I work with as they are in the UK.

I Had Directv for 10 years, Loyal At&T Customer, have cell phone and Wifi. They jacked up my Directv Bill called no one helped me.

All they care about is $. Disconnected Service. They still said I owed them money. Paid them.

Really pissed, plus I had no channel 5, CBS,the CW station for year. And the people they got answering phones spoke poor English.Discussed with AT&T and how they treated me and my husband, never again.

Plus when it rains s no channels.They company is a very Greedy and not care about their customers well being. I really hope they go out of business soon.
