I contacted DirecTV about 4 months ago about my box switching off my Caller ID every time I received a call. After several calls they said they would place it as a priority call and someone would call me.
After a week or so I called back and they explained how busy they were and that if I paid for a service call they would send someone out. I said I was no willing to pay for a service call for their faulty equipment. They said if I paid for the shipping and handling they would send me a new box. I again said I was not paying for their faulty equipment.
I changed boxes in another room and it worked for a few months. It is not working at all now and when I called they said they would transfer me to someone. I was on hold for 15 min. before I was disconnected.
It took me 10 minutes to get them back on the phone. They now said I would have to hold while they are looking for a supervisor. After 3 time of the customer service girl coming back and stating she was still looking for a supervisor and 12 minutes had passed, she came back on the line and said the supervisors were very busy helping other customers and they could take my name and number and someone will call me.
(I am going to really hold my breath waiting for that call) As long as you pay your bill they do not care about their customers at all, but miss a payment and I am sure they will be right on it.
