I too am unsatisfied with DirectTV. As of December 2017, Customer Service stated that I had a "credit to my account".

And my balance for December 2017 was $0. A few days later, I was informed by Customer Service about the nullification of that credit. They stated I owed $20.79. I checked my bill.

But the way it was presented was confusing. Customer Service just stated that I owe $20.79. I asked them about the "credit to my account", and they repeated that fact that I owe $20.79. I know it only a small amount.

But the principal of the matter is the important thing. They did their "double-talk".

So I'm seriously considering switch to DishTV. I know they (DishTV) are honest.

I just spent over a hour getting transferred to "new" customer sales when all I wanted to do is add Showtime to my account. Nobody would help, and a request to speak to a supervisor is a no-go. I have been a DirecTv customer since 2000. This is pure BS. The phone numbers that I have available all seem to go to the same hub, with a requirement to remain online till I get someone that can not assist me. When asked if they can direct me to customer service for existing account holders, I get sent right back to where I was. One CSR even said she would transfer me to the correct department, took off her headset and walked away without doing anything .

They called to try and give us a free premium movie channel free for one year but we had to buy another one to get this. We fixed the problem by buying a Roku and having package taken down to locals until our contract is up then we will ditch them, as we will no longer need them. So happy.

I have spent 3 hrs on 3 calls with CS to find that to get 4K content you must spend a minimum of $80 for equipment (discount and use RVU) or $200 for a box but no 4K content is guaranteed unless you upgrade to ultimate package. Web site says live 4K is a part of select package and above. CS rep says channels are 104, 105, 106. None of these channels are in the package. Requires tech install and they will only provide equipment if you have the tv at the time of install. I'm interested in joining with others to form a new class action lawsuit. How many words past 100 must I enter? seems that 108 is not enough, perhaps closer to 120 might be enough?

This is a SCAM! I've only had Direct TV for a week and I am already regretting it. We recently located from NJ to FL and wanted SNY and MSG, well your first sales rep assured us we would have it with the Choice package, but low and behold we didn't. Then the next sales rep told us we would need the sports pack, so we got it. Well tonight we go to watch the Rangers game on MSG and guess what? WE DON'T HAVE IT. My inlaws 2 hours north can watch it but not us. After over an hour on the phone I am basically told "our market" doesn't get them broadcasted and I would need NHL Center Ice...WE ONLY WATCH 1 TEAM WE DO NOT NEED ALL THAT. So she went to transfer me to see if they could give me a discount and guess what? I cannot be transferred and I get hung up on. Oh and also they cannot make any promises to if we will get the Mets games on SNY when that season starts. So why in the world did we even get the sports package? Why can't your sales reps tell me this in the first place and look this up? If we had known this from the get go we would have went with another provider. I am very disappointed and angry. We only want to be able to watch 2 freaking sports teams which are broadcasted on 2 freaking channels. BUYER BEWARE IF YOU WANT TO WATCH A NON REGIONAL SPORTS TEAM AND IT IS NOT BROADCASTED ON A MAJOR NETWORK YOU WILL HAVE TO GET ALL THE EXTRA SPORT PACKAGES!
