Just realized we never got a contract just a business card from the sales rep.

We are having a problem with satellite 771. We can not receive all the channels in our purchased plan.
I called technical support for help. I was advised that there is a $49.99 charge to send a service tech out to repair their equipment. Or sign up for a maintenance plan for $ 7.00 more a month. Why is this not included in the contract.
When I called I was advised that this was in our contract. The sales rep that sold us our plan did not mention this. I just assumed that if something was wrong they would fix their equipment. I should have read the whole contract.
It was explained to me that most companies charge this fee , but it is included in their monthly plan.
So Direct TV can advertise a lower cost because they can charge you for extras later. How can a company lease you equipment, then charge you when their equipment is faulty?
