I TRIED TO CANCEL DIRECT TV AFTER THE CONTRACT HAD EXPIRED.

THEY DID NOT ALLOW ONLINE CANCELLATIONS.

I CALLED THE CUSTOMER SERIVCE TO CANCEL, I WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT CANCEL UNTIL THE ACCOUNT HAD A ZERO BALANCE, I INQUIRED WHAT THE BALANCE WAS AND MAILED THEM A CHECK FOR THE AMOUNT DUE. I RECEIVED A NEW BILL WITH ANOTHER MONTHS BILLING. AGAIN I CALLED AND WAS TOLD THAT I COULD NOT CANCELSERVICE IF THERE WAS AN ACCOUNT BALANCE. I MAILED THE A CHECK FR THE BALANCE OF THE ACCOUNT. NEXT MONTH ANOTHER BILL FOR SERVICES. I CALLED AND ASKED HOW I COULD CANCEL THIS SERVICE, I WAS TOLD THST I COULD PAY THE ACCOUNT BALANCE WITH A CREDIT CARD. I GAVE THEM MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER AND WAS PLACED ON HOLD , AFTER ABOUT 2 MINNUTES OF WAIT TIME THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE TOLD ME THAT THELINKS TO THE CREDIT CARD SERVICE WERE NO WORKING. I WAS BEGINNING TO SEE A PATTERN OF CONTINURD BILLING BY NOT ALLOWING THE SERVICE TO BE CANCELED.

SINCE I HAD OFFERED PAYMENT VIA MY CREDIT CARD AND THEY COULD NOT ACCEPT THE PAYMENT, I FELT THAT I NO LONGER OWED THEM ANYTHING.

SUBSEQUENTLY THE ENTERED A NONPAYMENT COMPLAINT WITH THE CREDIT BUREAS AND IT REDUCED MY CREDIT RATING BY 100 POINTS.

IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THIS IS A DEVICE SYSTEM TO HOLD YOUR CREDIT RATING HOSTAGE!!!!!!!!

Reason of review: Problems with payment.

Monetary Loss: $8000.

Preferred solution: REMOVE THE NON PAYMENT INCIDENT FROM MY CREDIT REPORT..

Reals > feels. Who cares what you felt? Pay your balance like a normal person in 2015.

Well YOU might of felt you owed nothing but DirecTV did not concur and because they have proof of an outstanding balance that you have not paid your credit goes to sh.it maybe you learned a lesson to pay more attention when the rep told you we can't process it NOW and call back later to confirm your payment/cancel account 100 points wait until that debt get sold to 2 or 3 collection agencys that is only the beginning
