Ok I get you wanted to redesign the guide but how did it get designed so poorly? Did a top executive with no design ability drive the new design?

or did it get designed by a team of young kids who actually spend all their time doing other things instead of tv so they didn't know the design is less efficient? Here is the problem- The tv screen is only so big and you want to provide the most info in this space. So why do you have 1/2 the screen a dialogue box with details about a show that in most cases you are scrolling past. Why not have that blue box only appear once to move the selection to it?

You could show 10 lines instead of only 5. Making scrolling twice as fast and frankly less confusing. The confusing part is how lined scroll up and become the information in the box from some reason is visually confusing to me.

And I waited a week to get use to it before launching this complaint but there is just something weird and disorienting about how the big blue box converts the channel lines and expands the info. I hope you read this and do a better job when you fix it.
