I was a DirecTV subscriber for fifteen years prior to the AT&T acquisition and loved the product and customer service. We've had to gap the relationship while building our new home, and recently called their Customer Service with a few simple questions related to a new installation.
What a difference over the past two years.
Aside from then predictably annoying automated option tree, the three individuals that I eventually had the misfortune to encounter were possibly the most incompetent customer-facing representatives ever experienced. No depth, or ability to direct to anyone else with more knowledge, and finally hung up on me during the last transfer attempt.
