Directv - New guide + expensive = closure
25 year Direct TV Customer.
1, Price up 50% over last 2 years
2. New guide unreadable
3. New guide slow to respond to remote control commands
4. Tired of trying to understand non-native US English speakers that I cannot understand. While they are trying their best, I cannot understand them.
5. Saying an upgrade is free for the unit in my RV (standard Definition) to upgrade it to HD, but then wanting to charge me shipping/handling of $25.
6 Their saying an update/fix to the bad new Guide is 'in the works' without a delivery date - and only wanting to give me $5.00 off per month for 6 months to keep me around is seeming like they don't want to keep customers.
7. too much bulky AT&T advertising, other mail packing my mailbox at home.
All this equals, closure of account (only took 59 minutes on phone...) I will even be moving my phone to another carrier. As much as I am not a huge fan of Comcast, here I come for Internet and VOIP phone service. At least their service works and it will be half the price.
