Direct tv continues to have issues, goes out with no reason. Loses satellite. Does not record or download all the time. and when calling to resolve the automatic answering hangs up. Cant get a real person. I hope you take this advice. Nice work AT+T you made a pretty bad company worse. Will never think about AT+T for my phone service either. Pretty poor customer service. They are really good at taking your money on time. i tried to tell my Wife not to get direct t v and she now knows why i asked her not too.If you are one day late that service goes right off.Absolutely HORRIBLE...Do Not get this product

all the service guy was worried about was getting paid and i quote "" hey man this is a waste of MY time for me to try and trouble shoot this as DONT THINK I can fix it so i cant close out the service order so i wont get paid because all your dvr boxes are outdated i will have to replace them ALL WHICH I DONT HAVE and you will loose recording capacity you cant have six tvs man he said to call directv to see if they can ship them to you SO I DONT HAVE TO WASTE MY TIME DRIVING TO NASHUA TO PICK THEM UP THEN YOU CAN JUST INSTALL THEM YOURSELF. I LOOKED AT HIM THANKED HIM FOR HIS TIME SAID GOOD BY . HE SAID " CALL ME SO I KNOW WHATS UP SO I DONT WASTE ANYMORE TIME ON THIS JOB . FURIOUS I AGAIN SMILED AND THANKED HIM. I PROCEEDED TO CALL DIRECTV AND GOT A WOMAN WHO I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND AND OBVIOUSLY SHE COULD NOT UNDERSTAND ME . VERY DISSAPOINTED I AGAIN THANKED HER AND HUNG UP THE PHONE AFTER BEING A DIRECTV CUSTOMER FOR 10 + OR - YRS WITH PREMEIRE SERVICE ON 4 DVR BOXES AND 1 GENNIE WITH ANOTHER SMALL GENNIE BOX .I HAVE CALLED DISH NETWORK WHO WERE VERY HAPPY TO HELP ME SAYING NO PROBLEM WITH 6 TVS RECORDING AT ONCE WITH AMERICAS EVERYTHING PACKAGE . How annoyed & pissed that I cannot watch the Olympics - nbc & directv can't simply figure out how to play nice & allow us access to a major tv network! Sure I can watch some on the nbc app! But do I want to filter thru 3 hour programs to find the American competitors! I can't even find a place to watch what was broadcast. I live in a roural area in NH and we have limited options in tv providers! Beyond frustrated! This is not something we should be required to deal. I simply want to watch a major tv network and enjoy something that I actually took a vacation from work see and instead I have an extremely frustrating experience!

Both DVR's stopped working . Made a service call on August 13th. Had a service appointment for today August 16th. They did not show or even call as they cancelled for no known reason ! After speaking to no less than 5 CSR's they want to reschedule for Thursday August 18th. And yes we have been with Direct TV since 2008 and have paid for a service contract all this time. And they cannot figure out why customers are leaving !!!! So we will be leaving too. Any suggestions on the latest tech that we should use. And yes since we are a second home Direct may have to visit many times to get their equipment back. Nothing like a dose of the same service that they give out.

MY letter to Directv: It is worth taking the time to write to you with my recent experience that ended 12 years of loyal service to your company.  I have been a Directv customer since 2004, and have been told over the phone by one of your representatives that that type of loyalty puts me in the highest level of customer ranking. In addition to that level of loyalty in an extremely competitive industry, I have convinced several friends, family and colleagues over those years to also switch from cable to Directv.   In 2012, after years of Directv increasing rates and charging me for receivers I did not even have, I tried to save money by combining my Directv bill with my existing Verizon internet and home phone. Since that time for the past four years, my Directv bill was bundled with Verizon’s home phone and internet and I paid one bill directly to Verizon.   My monthly bundled Verizon bill had increased to over $200 per month by this year, with the majority of the bill being the Directv cost at approximately $145 per month.  After 12 years of loyalty to Directv, it became too cost prohibitive to have your service so I switched to Comcast in February 2016, to save money on a bundle package over the next two years.  I followed all of Directv and Verizon's instructions by your representatives to deactivate my accounts, return all requested equipment, and pay my final bill in full to Verizon. After paying my final bill to Verizon, Directv sent me an invoice stating I owed $159.96.  I called Directv and explained the situation and was reassured the balance would be settled with Verizon, whereas I had not even paid my Directv bill through Directv in over four years.  Directv then proceed to steal the $159.96 debited directly out my debit card that you apparently had on file, of course conveniently having the legal authority to take money out of your former customer’s accounts.  When my bank agreed to reverse the $159.96 charge from Directv, noting I had paid my bill directly to Verizon for four years, Directv sent another notice Past Due that I still owed the $159.96 amount. The $159.96 is not an amount I even paid for a month’s service with Directv, and Verizon confirmed my bundled service bill was paid in full and deactivated.  Directv has effectively stolen $159.96 from me, or will try to send me to collections if my bank does not reverse the charge, which of course one corporate giant will always back the other over the consumer. I realize Directv, and your now even more behemoth corporate parent, AT&T are too big to fail and too big to worry about churning another angry customer.  And I don’t expect to get an answer when you purposely make it impossible to contact anyone relevant by email in your executive team, but I also would not have expected Directv to be willing to lose a 12 year loyal customer to cable over $159.96. This communication may be useless from Directv’s perspective but I can take solace in knowing I now will never return as a Directv customer.   I will also be switching over my AT&T cell phone family plan to Verizon, which again like the switch to Comcast, will save me money.  I was with AT&T even longer than my 12 years with Directv, and at the very least I can tell my story on every social media outlet and blog available to me of why to never become a Directv or AT&T customer. 12 Years of Loyalty for this?? Weve been with Directtv since 2013. Our bill keeps increasing even though we have not made any changes. We called today,3/21/16 to check on the bundles, hoping to lower our cost. After being on hold for a long time, rep said the bundles werent available in our area. So, we asked what changes could be made to lower the tv costs as bill keeps increasing. The only thing the rep would do was an offer to remove the sports channels which would lower our monthly bill by $11.00! Wow, what a way to treat an excellent long time customer. When we said we would have to look at other companies and leave directtv, he said "sorry." Didnt even care! I will tell this to everyone I know and never recommend them!!

I am a current sales agent for Direct Tv and Dish. What I could do for you is either lock in your current rates and make sure that price doesn't go up on your anymore with your Direct Tv.

I made the mistake of paying a families members account on the phone and expressly said this was a one time payment. They have now charged my SSI payment card for money. This is not my account and I was given cash to pay this using my Direct Express SSI payment card...

Directv Hd Extra Pack Premium Network Review from Rochester, New Hampshire

Ive only had service just over 3 months with direct tv. I got an error message saying the hard drive went in my Genie so i called customer service they said the new Genie would cost me nothing but i would have to pay $19.99 for shipping and handling which would normally would not be a problem for me if i hadn't called numerous times before saying my box wasnt working right from day 1. I just dont understand why i have to pay for a service when im not getting any service. Att mering with direct tv was the worst thing they could do. Ive had att for a long time and as soon as i have the chance i will cancle both att and direct tv. Save your money in the long run dont get direct tv!!

On Thursday we called to get Direct tv to watch the patriots. We asked if we sign up right now can we watch the game tonight. They said YES...They lied we couldn't. We asked for the Manager to call us...He never did. Saturday they came to install direct TV. They installed the wrong box. The installer, who was average at best said he would call us Monday to get proper box. NOONE called. We called Direct tv, no apology or we will get the tech right out there.They sent us a box. Make sure it was convenient for them! We received it today Thursday. I had to take the time to install it after a long day. Went to connect the internet it doesn't work. We call them they cant send someone till next week. ABSOLUTELY RIPPED OFF AND LIED TOO. Welcome to the AT+T family I guess. I will try to cancel my service and go back to HULU and ROKU.
