There may be more occurring here than you realize. The same thing happened to a friend of mine and her daughter. They had a tape recording of a sound coming over the phone and TV when this was occurring and played it to the police and others.

Their house then got broken into and the tape was stolen. The family was tortured/terrorized like what is described in the following websites. They went through living ***.

There seems to be a lot of people around the world that are being targeted by sadistic psychopaths very similar to the Stasi. (See Stasi on wiki)

Directv - Tv Service Review from Merrimack, New Hampshire

Direct tv took money from my account without my permission. Informed it was for 3 movies from 2007. I had already cancelled my direct tv when the satelite dish was hit by lightning. After two visit from their service techs who did nothing and blame a sight line. Return my cards and got a 6.00 credit. Do not join this company,I got a knew cable company took a cable installer to fix the damage direct did when they cut the original cable lines and the best news the satelite was never grounded. So stay away they care nothing about the customer.

SSN numbers are used to verify idenity so you should give it out as i have Directv and had to gave out the SSN and i have had no ID theft or other problems

We have been with DirecTV since 1995 but when we went to disconnect our service, we were told we owe $240.00 disconnect fee. They say when we updated to Genie, we signed up for 2 more years.

They did not tell us we were signing up for 2 more years. How can they get away with this?

I have paid my fees and was told since it was through a dealer...whatever that means?? That they would b calling ...me..I've been on the phone three times with them for about 40 mins the last time- I was even told a messege was left to call me back... I'm pissed bcuz I want cable and my kids ask me when they are hooking up...this is so iritating!!!! Wth is going on?? I'm about to ship everything back n say forget this! I'll to to metrocast! Maybe it's a blessing in disguise - I have had Directv for about 6 months. There is a lot of fine writing in the contract with their "specials".

Just make sure you know exactly what you will be paying since it's a contract. I didn't pay close enough attention and am now paying at least $40 more a month than I wanted to. Not to mention, there are more times than I'd like where the picture goes out due to rain, wind and/or snow.

I miss Comcast and wish I hadn't switched but now am stuck in a 2 yr contract. :cry

I called for pricing and availability of internet & TV and got nothing but the runaround...all I got was question after question and constant re-iteration of savings and discounts, He could not tell me for sure that I could get satelite internet! He just saya "yes it is available from what I can see" All I wanted to know is the service I want is available. Not from what you can tell....be sure! He mentioned AT&T I know they do not have service by satelite here...I have lived here 22yrs & I know AT&T as well as Husenet offers satelite and say they can deliver and then..."oh we're sorry we don't have a tower close enough to give you that service." tired of them all wasting my time.

Directv in Portsmouth, New Hampshire - Took money without authorization

I had 613 dollars taken out of my checking account by Direct TV without any form of authorization. I called them twice to discuss the matter and was told "this is our policy due to the equipment not returned to date" Its in the freaking mail!!!!! was mailed 2 days ago!!!!! I now have an overdrawn checking account and ALL of my money plus some has been taken. the transaction is in a "pending status" so my bank is working with the corporate office to have the ach reversed since its is 100% NOT AUTHORIZED!! i think its *** that they can just take money because they have bank info online from an account that was closed!!! Yes i have the receivers but that doestn not give them a right to just TAKE MONEY!

If your money is returned to your account you may want to ask your bank why they allowed a closed account to be debited. If you have already mailed the equipment and have a tracking# call the company that you mailed it through and have them check on where it is and if DTV has received it. Sadly yes when you gave them your account # this gives them the authority to debit your account any time they see fit but with the account being closed I would think it should have been refused by the bank.

Directv in Bedford, New Hampshire - Direct TV is horrible!

This company should be ashamed of themselves. I tried to add one HD box for my basement only to be told it would cost me $99 to rent the box $49 to install and they are extending my contracft 6 more months. This is a hidden cost that was not disclosed when I initially signed up for Direct TV. Why was this not discolsed initally. Someone needs to complain to the FCC! If you are smart you will never use them as your TV provider. I am cancelling and paying the termination fee of $380.00 and calling Comcast today !!!!!!

Customers have complained to the FCC,BBB and Attorney Generals for years and years about DTV's devious practices.there is a class action law suit ever so often and DTV get fined but goes right back to what they were doing.They do not disclose their many scams to potential customers because if they did no one would sign up. I could almost scream each time I see Directtv in Best Buy,Walmart and Sams club signing up customers because I know most of them will be scammed.It also makes me sick that these stores let these predators take advantage of their customers because these stores know about DTV's scams,they choose to let their customers be scammed for money from DTV.

They did the same thing to me last month. Quoted me one price to re-sign the charged me alot more.

Now want to charge me $440 to cancel a contract I didn't agree to.

I am taking them to small claims court for the fee. I am sick and tired of companies being allowed to pull this *** on consumers and getting away with it.
