On 9-14-17, I was approached by a Direct TV sales representative, offering promotional sales for service. Since I had Uverse service and was looking to lower the cost of my current service and was told Uverse would no longer be offered within the next two years, I signed up with the understanding I would get free installation, free equipment, $125 gift card, 320 channel HD, NFL Sunday Tix, free perm and DTV App.

For 7 TV's. Installation was scheduled for 9-21-17, at a cost of $95.83 for 2 years. I received a notice from Direct TV dated 9-15-27 stating the order for only 4 tv's. I called Direct TV for an explanation since this was different from what the sales rep had stated.

I was told that they did not offer anything other than what was stated on order let I received. I then contacted the sales rep. and was told by him it was an error and to call him when the installer arrived, which I did. He stated he was ina meeting and would call me back.

After a couple of hours I tried calling him again, left a msg for a call back, few more hours went by and no call. Being very concerned about the situation, I asked the installer for assistance, he called his supervisor for clarification, he stated he didn't see an order for the installation,also Uverse and Direct TV. I also spoke with both entities and was told that I could not get what I had expected by the salesman and it would cost me $200 for the three other hookups which included another $50 fee. We called the corporate office, and when the rep got through so call checking on the issue, we were told the installation was cancelled.

We asked who cancelled it if in fact the installer was still here trying to hook up the services. She didn't know. By this time the installer had been here for six hours. Since this issue was not getting resolved, I asked the installer to just come back the next day to give my husband and I an opportunity to try and come up with a solution to this madness.

I called AT&T, explained the situation to the rep., not only did she help me, she explained that Uverse was not being eliminated in two years as I was told.

We dropped the idea of signing up with Direct TV. This is total misrepresentation and something should be done to stop this, being a senior citizen, this is very aggravating situation.

yeah they scammed me too.


I’m going to buy my way out of this direct tv mess in a few months the amount of commercials is ridiculous and the problems are never ending
