Direct tv doesn’t service our area, and when we moved they charged us a disconnect fee and a cancellation fee.We now owe $512.
A collection company called my wife and told us we could settle the debt for $172, when I called direct tv to confirm they informed me that they DO NOT settle accounts. So if we paid that company $172, the remaining balance gets recycled back into collections. Pay it in full or it doesn’t go away. Here’s the kicker, since ATT bought it, we can’t upgrade or make any changes to our att account until the balance is paid in full.
