I have been a customer of direct TV since 2011, I was happy with the service I even recommended it to friends, but now it is so bad i am seriously looking for a new service provider. I contracted in March with direct tv. They offered me an HBO review option...free for 3 months . I forgot about the offer and at month four , without warning, was billed for 73 additional dollars for the HBO package. Why aren't they supposed to disclose such impending changes in the bill? I was told upon signing up that I had up to 30 days to cancel without penality. After 5 days with different incidents decided I wanted to cancel and now getting charged for all 24 months early termination fee. When asked how they can tell people completely false information without consequence I was told I was speaking to a Direct Star retailer not even an actual Direct TV representative! I received a bill with NFL ticket that I never ordered. I was told they (Direct TV rep) would remove it immediately. Never did! Now on hold 40 minutes, 3 different departments and nothing!

I am currently having a problem with my system. Lightning strike took out two boxes. Your "automated system" doesn't help, and I don't want to speak to someone from India or Pakistan. Account #24179741.
My TV froze on Tuesday night at about 10:30pm, couldn't get anything on the TV, tried to change the channel and nothing. I tried calling and of course no customer service was available cause it was after hours. I wanted to add another receiver at our 2nd home - already have a satellite and a receiver there - just wanted to add another one. I'm told I'm due for an "upgrade" and it can be done at the same time. Received a call with the Direct TV/Directv phone number on my caller ID. This is a SCAM. They are spoofing/putting up a fake phone number to show on your caller ID(it shows Directv number it's not them!). I over paid Direct TV on January 11, 2016. I contacted them and told them of the mistake on January 14, 2016 They said they would send a check for the amount overpaid on the 14th of January, 2016. The check never arrived and I was informed on February 1st that it was returned to my bank. After having Uverse for many years, I went to a AT&T store and switch to Direct TV after being offered a promotion and a lower bill. Installation service occurred on Dec.18 on four tv's. Learning the channels and program package has is taking time to adjust. In the meantime, there were some channels that had volume but no picture since installation.
