I just spent an hour on the phone with a direct tv agent. It did take 3 calls to get one as the first 2 attempts the "fake person" kept transferring me and then disconnecting me.

Not a great start. I am a ATT cell phone user and had received a promotion to combine the two companies. The promotion states 19.99/mth for one year with a two year contract, however, no mention of the costs commitment for the second year. After a very long call with the agent, and a credit score check which felt like discrimination although my score is great.

Finally the second year went to approx.

$49.99/mth while locking me into direct tv and att (which I do not have a contract with) so if I switch cell carriers, it would go up another $10/mth. So after that long hour, I did not choose Direct Tv.

If the literature was direct and customer service promptly answered that would be different, and of course not an increase of well over 100 percent for the second year just did not work for me.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

I liked: Agent.

I didn't like: Price game and fake person who kept disconnecting me.
