I've been with Direct TV for 5 years paying the same way, we get paid bi-weekly so pay accordingly. Never missed a payment.

To my surprise I open our bill to see that we owe 159$ plus dollars. We call them, I ask did I miss a payment or forget a month, they say no. When I asked why I am being charged double, they say it is because I am 2 days late! She went into a long diatribe about how this affects the monthly payment, neither myself nor my husband understood what she was saying, how being 2 days late could account for a double payment so finally she accused us of 'deliberatly' not understanding her, and hung up on us.

We sent in the entire amount of money, they shut us off! I am waiting to see if they are now going to charge us a cancellation fee....
