Noticed 30 days after I signed a 2 year contract with DirecTV and 'AT&T' they decided to jack the prices up. I contacted them and they read the same statement over and over that their Upper Mgmt must have given to them to read to upset customers.

They would not comment on the questions except read their pre-written statements. This company is terrible and DO NOT get suckered into signing up for this service by their 'REWARD CARDS'. Best to find your service with a different company.

You could do a lot better with Netflix, Hulu, Youtube TV, DISH, Spectrum, anything is better than this bad business company. They only "have" customers because they sucker them in with the reward cards and then sign you to a 2 year contract where prices and fees will increase each month.

They have a clause in their contract that allows them to raise the prices whenever they feel like and on any grounds, which basically makes their "contract" bogus and fraudulent. In Jan 2019, they did just that, raising their fees on contracted customers by $9.99.

They have lots of these loopholes and fraudulent charges, including their DIRECTV Protection Plan, which they don't tell you about, but which just appears on your bill for $8.99 a month. Basically they take advantage of the majority of customers who don't have the time or energy to scrutinize their bill every month.


Did you read the contract completely ? ... be honest.

I've never seen a contract stipulating arbitrary price increases.

Have you added or changed any services since you "signed a contract" ?

This all seems very odd to me.
