Man where do I start. So when you call in, its pretty much luck of the draw.
You may get an awesome agent, you more than likely will get a rookie who takes forever or has you doing pointless troubleshooting. Either you get, you will be rushed. The company Ins Asurion has their agents on very strict stats and if they hit these metrics, they can earn up to $600 bonus per month. They get penalized for being on the phone too long(Cant be over 10 min average), processing service calls to fix equipment, and even for filing claims!, which is what DTV Protection Plan Premiers sole purpose is!
This leads to agents lying, hanging up on you if you have multiple claims, transferring you to someone else who is totally unrelated to the issue, just to shorten their calls, as well as just flat out manipulating the system to secure a bonus. It's sad that some people will risk their jobs for an extra $600, but it happens all the time. That agent is then praised for these false numbers, it takes years for them to get caught, and with the atmosphere being competitive, EVERYONE STARTS TO DO THIS TO KEEP UP, ULTIMATELY AFFECTING THE CUSTOMER! Not to mention, they do not communicate well with the service center, agents will add up sale items without mention because they get bonuses for that too, and you will be told they can not give u the service techs number (although u will get an email with this classified info) lol Lets not start on the in home techs who tell customers BROKEN SCREENS ON TVS ARE COVERED WHEN THEY ARE NOT!!!
I do not know how this crooked business is still open to be honest.
Monopoly's get away with anything. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF BEING ABLE TO RECEIVE A $50 (NO SERVICE FEE INVOLVED, FREE MONEY) CHECK FOR LAPTOP CHARGERS, KEYBOARDS and MOUSES and get the *** out of there!
