I have been a loyal Direct TV customer for over 20 years. I have had some issues in the past but a phone call or two they get resolved.

I have a guest house behind my house that we use for our children and their children when they come visit. I called DTV and inquired about three hard wired boxes for the house due to it being too far for the wireless system that I currently have.

I was told no problem DTV would send a tech for the installation and the receivers, without charge. The Tech showed up had three wireless boxes, which will not work as stated to the person on the phone. The Tech stated he doesn't carry the hard wired boxes, he would have to order them and then make another appointment to install them. Tech returned and all he had to do was hook them up by screwing the cable into the boxes. I already had a dish and mounted it on the roof.

As of 12/04/2018 I have been billed for the three boxes and installation fees as well. $497.98

I'm about to cancel my AT&T phones and DTV.

You need to discuss this with DTV, not complain here first.
